Hot off the press

How will ex Manchester United star Louis Saha get on at Everton?

After months of doing nothing, David Moyes has gone silly and started buying every player under the sun. The latest capture is to be Louis Saha, that forgotten French forward who has hardly played for two years. Only recently he had seemed all set to join Sunderland and that looked to be the case again as The Black Cats lost Michael Chopra to the Sporting Chance clinic this past week. Everton have swooped in though with an undisclosed offer. How much would you pay for him?

Everton have agreed to sign Manchester United's injury-plagued striker Louis Saha, subject to a medical. The 30-year-old has been marginalised by the combination of Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney, while the emerging Fraizer looks set to step into his shoes for the coming season. (Soccernet)

On his day he is mustard but it remains to be seen how years worth of injuries have affected him and whether he still has that extra yard on defenders. Given that The Toffees already have perma-crock James Vaughan on their books it's unlikely that Yakubu will be losing any sleep over this latest signing. Now will Saha be the first name down on the team sheet or will he have to force his way in?
