Hot off the press

 Chelsea Wilkin's must feel pretty stupid about his Arsenal comments now!

Yesterday, before the Chelsea match Ray Wilkins the Chelsea coach made some pretty harsh comments about Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger and the way that he treated the Carling Cup. Wilkins said;

It's all about winning trophies when you're a big club. The fact we've won the Carling Cup twice in the last four years and Arsenal have won none justifies our policy,

"You enter a competition to win the competition. Why go into it if you're not concerned whether you win it? Playing a young or weakened team undermines the value of the competition. And we have not and will not do that. We want to win it, big time."

Considering the strength of the side they fielded last night, does anyone else find it particularly hilarious poetic justice that the likes of Drogba and Lampard who were fielded to 'respect' the competition were also beaten by lower League opposition even though Arsenal's average age of 19 superkids smashed 3 past a Premier League full strength outfit that many teams struggle to beat?

Is this not the most beautiful way to shut that idiot up? What do fans think about the result?

Ray thats our 2nd 11 by the way so much for judging a book by its cove, see you thought about "looks can be deceiving literally when in Arsenal's case its figurative.

Ray's comments are hilarious! He should concentrate on Chelsea's short comings before he preaches how other teams should conduct themselves! If Ray is true to himself he envy's Arsene's Wengers patience and strategy of developing a culture of youth development. Arsenal have produced talented youngsters while Chelsea with all their millions of debt are a hollow entity with no sustainable financial, team culture and ethos!

I love the way he includes himself in Chelse's Carling Cup wins, despite the FACT he was only appointed a Chelsea coach in September 2008, a year and a half since they last won it. Well done Ray, good effort.

Ray Wilkins came over to Dubai early this year to be a pundit on Showtime's live broadcat of the EPL. He insisted at that time that Arsenal will not win anything despite being left in all competitions. Obviously he has a problem with Arsenal. Hoping he gets it wrong this time just like he did with his silly comments
