Hot off the press

Watch out Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, the title is going to Liverpool this season....so says Benitez

Rafael BenÍtez has warned Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal that Liverpool can win the title for the first time since 1990 and said teams are scared of facing his side. The Liverpool manager, speaking on Saturday after his team's 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium that leaves his side leading the title race with Chelsea, believes his team are playing within themselves even though they have won ten of their 13 top-flight matches this season.

"Confidence is much better and the players are playing better because we know teams are thinking, 'Be careful because Liverpool are top, " BenÍtez said. "We have better players this season and we can win games even when we are playing badly."

With wins already over Chelsea and Manchester United and the club having made their best start to a season since BenÍtez arrived at Anfield in 2004, there is every reason to be confident. (THE TIMES)

Is Benitez right? Are Liverpool good enough to win the title this season? Are the top clubs scared of playing Liverpool now?

Wayne is right.
All it will take is one of Gerrard's last minute shots to skew of the side of his boot or a refereeing decision to not go for them. e.g. Bolton goal and the numerous red cards given against the opposition that have helped Liverpool win.
