Hot off the press

Barcelona star tell's of 'Burger and Beer' culture at Manchester United.....Which players are the worst offenders?

Former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique has claimed he was stunned by the 'burger and beer' culture at Old Trafford. Since the floodgates opened to the foreign players, the English clubs diet and health policies have certainly improved, but is it really still how Pique says it is? Who are the main advocates of this 'burgers and beer' attitude?

The Barcelona star was asked how his current club's controls on diet compared with United's. And Pique, 21, astonishingly replied: "It was outrageous. Everyone ate what they wanted to.

"When you take into account the English diet, you can imagine what I am talking about. Every 15 days they would put us on what we called the 'spare-tyre machine' to measure our body fat. You would be amazed at how many top players practically broke the machine because their diet was based on beer and burgers." (THE STAR)

Do English clubs still have the poorest diet and health policies? Considering English clubs dominated Europe before the ban and are currently dominating Europe again, is diet really as important as it's made out to be? Which Man Utd players do you think are the worst offenders with regard to the 'burgers and beer' culture?
