Hot off the press

Manchester United, or Chelsea? Who have better England players?

With the other top two teams Arsenal and Liverpool having become increasingly more foreign, with really only Steven Gerrard and Theo Walcott to boast about from home, you have to wonder who out of United and Chelsea have the best England prospects. Both teams have in the past had a huge array of stars, though as the game becomes increasingly more global, and English players increasingly more expensive… who has the best selection?
United currently have Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown, Gary Neville, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney.

Chelsea have Michael Mancienne, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, and Frank Lampard. Whilst United have more players, some would argue that Chelsea's are slightly more influential.

But what do fans think? What club team has the best impact upon the national team?

Ummm, you're wrong Ferdinand is the best defender in England, he's better than Terry

What about Wayne Bridge? He did play for England last night if you didn't notice? That makes 6 a piece. As for the more influential.

I would say Rooney and Ferdinand would be first choice with Terry, Lampard and Ashley Cole from Chelsea as first choice for England.
2-3 Chelsea win.

How can Rio be the best defender in the world? He is not even the best on the national team. Rooney may be England's best attacker, but England's attack is terrible. Neither Wes Brown nor Gary Neville hold a candle to Ashley Cole. Hargreaves and Carrick are a joke compared to Lamps.

Chelsea players more influential? Rooney is Englands best attacker and Ferdinand is the worlds best defender, not exactly un-influential
