Hot off the press

Manchester United’s manager believes Aston Villa will replace Arsenal in the TOP FOUR.

Is Sir Alex trying to get his own back on Arsenal for the way they dumped his team out of the Carling Cup. Has he used the Gallas affair as an opportunity to have a dig at his bitter rivals?

Here is Fergie’s latest as reported by the Mirror. Sir Alex said, "Aston Villa have the capability to break into the top four."

Villa beat Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend and Fergie - who takes his Manchester United side to Villa Park today - believes Martin O'Neill's men are now a major threat to the Gunners in terms of securing a Champions League spot.

Arsenal are in disarray following four Premier League defeats this season, a series of injuries to key players and the extraordinary rant by William Gallas. It exposed the infighting and turmoil within the squad and led to him being stripped of the captaincy.

Will Sir Alex be proved right or will Arsene Arsene have the last laugh?

Why did you write 'top four' in capitals?

He was simply asked about whether Villa can get into the top 4 before the match with them, not at anyones expense in particular. What do you expect him to say before the match, 'no, villa are shit'. Who writes this crap

It is a high possibility. From the way Arsenal is going (this was predicatable from begining of season). With the development in the game and othe clubs, and the refusal of Wenger to match the others, Arsenal might end up been 5th,6th or even 7th (after Aston, Spurs and man city).
