Hot off the press

Chelsea, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Portsmouth. Who is responsible for the worst buy striker?

Strikers always face a tricky situation at any club. Unlike other positions, a strikers form is essentially based on goals scored, and if they don't score they are not rated.

This problem is sometimes compounded when cost is inserted into the equation, what use is a 15m rated striker who doesn't score goals?

Strikers also tend to be the most high profile signings, and in the history of the premier league, there have been some woeful acquisitions.

Who do fans think is the worst?

Shevchenko- £30.8m, 9 league goals in 47 apps
Robbie Keane- £20.3m, 4 in 22
Jo- £19m- 1 this season!
Nugent- £6m- 0 at Portsmouth

Who is missing from this list? Should the likes of Rebrov and Jeffers be in there?

To be fair, I thought Shevchenko played well with Drogba at times, and was a big factor in Drogba's great season of goals.

Robbie Keane is the worst, he know's English football so does not really need time to adapt. I cant really see him coming good though.
