Hot off the press

Chelsea vs Bolton : Match preview

Scolari will be looking to improve upon Chelsea’s recent form, which has seen defeats from Arsenal and Roma, and also draws against Newcastle and Bordeaux.

If Chelsea win against Bolton, they will also be breaking the record for consecutive away wins previously held by Spurs. Yet the club is still suffering from an injury crisis, with Ricardo Carvalho (knee), Franco Di Santo (hamstring) and Juliano Belletti (ankle) sidelined along with long-term injury victim Michael Essien (knee).

Chelsea will also be without Joe Cole, who picked up an injury before the Arsenal game, and also Drogba, who is still suspended following his coin throwing antics. Gary Megson’s team is at full strength and has won four of their last five, whereas Chelsea have only won three.

Chelsea will need a win in order to stay alongside Liverpool, who play Blackburn away.
Can Bolton get a result on Saturday? How will Chelsea’s recent poor form effect their performance?
