Hot off the press

 Arsenal's Eboue to start against Porto despite Fan's hatred...

Arsene Wenger today admitted that Eboue will be in the frame and starting at right back today away against Porto. It will be the best way to help him mentally get back into the frame, and perhaps what will happen is he will take some perspective. His ego has always been huge ever since he joined from Beveren, he was marvellous in the Champions League build up when Arsenal got to the final against Barcelona and at the time, there were reports that teams like United and Real were interested in securing his services. Since then his incredible arrogance, disgusting lack of fair play, and pathetically poor final product (0 goals and about as many assists) has prompted fans to not only wonder what his problem is, but whether this is the final sign of Wenger's senility. In Wenger Gunners always trust, but his faith in Eboue has been somewhat questionable for two seasons now, and he is absolutely detested by fans because despite not ever performing how Arsenal fans hope he would, he comes with a horrible attitude and irritates everyone off the pitch. Regardless of this Wenger will start him against Porto due to a lack of options but also to get his head clear;

"It is a hostile ground to play. But it's better to be hostile at all 11 players than one! Eboue has reacted well.

"He was, of course, very down for 48 hours but on Monday he was OK.

"I believe all his friends called him up on Sunday which was the main help. The whole team called him to cheer him up.

"But for this game, it is better we are away.

"It is easier. Especially for Eboue's head.

"We have spoken about it since Saturday. I told him it can happen and he has to be stronger. It can happen to anybody.

"It's a difficult situation when the home crowd is against you. But what can you do? It's a public job."

Indeed it is a public job and Eboue's main crime is never particularly looking like he cares, or has any particularly special attributes that make him worthy of playing for a team like Arsenal whose aspirations are as high as can be (though that too is questionable of late). What do fans think? Will you give him one more chance, was he overly poorly treated to begin with, and would you turn the other cheek if he starts against Middlesbrough on the weekend?
