Hot off the press

Mark Hughes to get £50 Million to save his Job at Mega Rich Manchester City

Despite his side’s woeful exit from the FA Cup at the hands of struggling Championship side Nottingham Forest, the mega rich owners of Manchester City look set to back boss Mark Hughes in the transfer market with a massive £50 million kitty.

Hughes has already signed Chelsea’s Wayne Bridge on a ridiculously large contract, enough to turn the Chelsea reserve’s head as he dropped Champions League football and chasing a title for avoiding relegation and a bigger wallet.

Next on Hughes’ shopping list is West Ham duo Scott Parker and Craig Bellamy. West Ham desperately need the money and City have shown they will pay whatever it takes to get their targets. Blackburn’s Roque Santa Cruz and Arsenal’s Kolo Toure are expected to complete their transfer business this season.

Hughes has obviously realised the talk of signing true international quality players for a side struggling to avoid relegation is just not realistic. The likes of David Villa and Kaka would laugh Manchester City out of he negotiation room. But proven Premiership players like Bellamy and Santa Cruz might just be what Hughes needs to lift his side out of a relegation fight.

Can he do it? More importantly, is he the man to do it? Should the Sheikh’s be funding a boss who has clearly taken his squad backwards?

Do Manchester City fans think Hughes will be in charge next season?

For this matter, once I discussed with one of my friends, not only about the content you talked about, but also to how to improve and develop, but no results. So I am deeply moved by what you said today.
