Fulham Complete Damien Duff Signing from Newcastle

Roy Hodgson finally landed one of his summer targets as Damien Duff completed his move from Newcastle to earn another chance at Premier League football.

Duff’s career has taken something of a nosedive since he moved from Blackburn to Chelsea and then on to Newcastle in the summer of 2006. Despite playing 86 times for the Toon Army, he only managed 6 goals and will be generally thought of as disappointing by the Newcastle faithful.

Now, although the fee is undisclosed, Newcastle can consider Duff’s Premier League wages off the club’s wage bill, now they have life (and income) in the Championship to contend with.

Duff was said to be looking forward to joining up with his teammates whilst Hodgson said he was delighted to be working with Duff again.

Fulham fans will be hoping that Duff can spearheard their foray into Europe this season.
