We say it time and time again, the England batting line up on paper should be able to stand up to any bowling. OK maybe not the spinners in India and Sri Lanka. But on home turf they should be devastating. Strauss, Cook, Bell, Vaughan, KP and Collingwood. It looks impressive. There is so much gloom around that they need to lift our spirits. This should be anything but a white-wash.

Not only do England need KP to perform but it is time for Strauss and Cook to get a solid start. I think the bowllers will perform well but we need to have our batsmen finding form.
