Lampard to Inter- good for the England team?

I would love to see Lamps off to Inter. Let him follow his mentor Mourinho to Italy. I have doubts whether he will be as effective as he is for Chelsea in a league where technical ability is more important than speed, but what he will learn is how to keep the ball and how the great european teams set up their tactics, both very useful experiences to which he can bring to the England national team for the next world cup.

Hopefully Lamps move to Italy, would potentially encourage other english players to play abroad. Although the premiership is the most competitive league in the world , it is not the best technically and that has been the main problem for the England team. - They only know one way to play, at a high tempo and don't have a plan B to resort to when things are not working.

Either we will forget about him if he moves, only he knows if a few years in Italy is the right move for him but what I believe is that it would be a bold and beneficial move for English football.

Big Phil another of Abramovich's BIG signings

Well life is great for big Phil Scolari at the moment isnt it? His players are doing the job on the pitch and he has negotiated a big move to Chelsea.

He's clearly an accomplished man to be able to juggle these two things at the same time, but I beg to ask what his primary focus has been. If not Ronaldo one day, the press are harrassing big Phil about his future and a possible move to Chelsea, which according to yesterdays papers he was not supposed to be thinking about until after the Euros.

Well what a turnaround of events, or do the papers just make crap up every day for a story? Well today it was reported that Fabregas says he would not want in form David Villa playing for any other club than Arsenal next season, when all he actually said was that he is basically a great player and a team mate. But thats another issue entirely.

Back to Big Phil. What if Portugal crash out first game after the group stages? Is it too late for Abramovich to change his mind? Also, he hasnt managed a club team four 5 years or so, and will he find adapting easy?

He's obviously a very respected manager and Chelsea must be forking out a hell of a lot to get him and as an Arsenal fan I have to say that he is definately a step up from Avram Grant. Well he has a month to learn english, unless he uses Carvalho as his puppet translator next season and once again the premiership will im sure be blessed with another BIG personality next season. Interesting times ahead.

RAFA NADAL the great

For all those who watched the french open final, even thou it was the best summers day of the season so far you will agree that is was tremendously one sided and lacked excitement.

It was Federer, playing on his worst surface against Rafa playing on, obviously his most natural-clay.

I have never is my life seen Federer appear so defeated, negative and play with such fear. Rafa, an absolute brute on clay is by the far the best ever player and defender I have ever seen. His power was too much for even Federer and his agility and speed on court sheer class.

Today was supposed to be about Federer. If he won today he would have won every grand slam and would have surely gone down in history as the worlds greatest tennis player. He said that he had a game plan to be more attacking and approach the net more, but he struggled to get in and was made to look a fool when he did. In my opinion he didnt mix his shots well enough and was not as creative and speradic as usual.

Well, who is going to beat Nadal on clay? He didnt loose one set the whole tournament. I have always been a supporter of his, being a left hander and the same age and feel that he has already proved himself to be clay courts more fearsome and greatest talent in mens tennis period.

IS THE FOOD REALLY THAT BAD IN ENGLAND?

Is british food really that bad that it would cause a good footballer, brought up on probably fine cheese and wine to look elsewhere to quench his thirst for glory? Of course I am talking about our (I say OUR cos technically he's still an Arsenal player) Mathieu Flamini. Why would you leave the team that plays arguably the best football in the best league in the world to play for an overated team in an average league?

Only he will know but it must be for a reason other that football! A fresh challenge, give me a break. After, personally such a good season, his first actually as a consistent member of the starting 11 I am baffled why he would choose not to renew his contract and be motivated to challenge for the premier league next season. Especially the we lost it this season! Or maybe that is the problem, Gallas and the drama that surrounded Arsenal fc. Maybe it was something behind the scenes that made him decide to move on.

What is certain is that he will be missed, especally after loosing arrogant diarra. Well I only hope that we buy an experienced centre mid, but one with legs, as he will have to cover as much ground as flamini in a match which is a hell of a lot.

One can only speculate over his departure, and respect his wish to leave, i only hope decision he will come to regret like henry.

Au revoir Mathieu

dont give up without a fight!

Arsenal displayed the right attitude today to scrap for their reputation and for their lives to stay in contention for the title. That was however before Man U showed, and I hate to admit this why there are currently the best team in the land! Well I am not here to talk about their chances of success in the premiership and champions league, but what I want to say is that at 2-0 down 10 men Arsenal showed great fight and courage to turn the match and I can only commend Gallas, Fabregas and co for their tremendous effort. Come on u Gooners! It could have gone belly up in the run in to the champions league quarters next week but as it stands we have the momentum and a home victory against Liverpool should see the mighty reds flying again.

Lets hope Bluejay's 'Blues shite' can do it 2moro against the 'red shite' and knock their confidence and fingers crossed we get there we will surely get our own back against chelsea in the semis.
